John Adolf Commers A life well lived. John was born July 21, 1918 and entered into the gates of Heaven January 17, 2004. John's 85 years were filled with much love for, and from, family and friends. John was a retired Minneapolis policeman, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and founder of Commers, the Water Company. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather he always cherished his family, his wife, his son, daughter-in-law, his grandsons & their wives, his great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, and always valued his friends. John will be missed very much by his wife, Evelyn; his son, John; daughter-in-law, Patricia; his grandsons & his grand daughters-in -law, John, Thomas & Deena, Robert & Tiara, Anthony & Susan; his great-grandchildren, Andrew, Cayleen, Jake, Cade, Gavin. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10 am, at the Church of St Charles Borromeo, Stinson and St Anthony Parkway, Mpls. Visitation Tuesday, 5-8 pm, with prayer service 7 pm, Knights of Columbus ritual 7:30 pm at Kapala-Glodek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 13th Ave and 3rd St NE, Mpls.
